Let’s try a video guess the grade on a recent pickup. What grade do you think PCGS gave it?

Video grading hmmmm - I wish there was a still photo also; however, I'll guess AU58.

Nice looking coins with lots of detail. I see what looks like a patch of field marks (hairlines?) on the obverse. I will guess it graded at AU58 but would not be surprised to see cleaned or MS62 depending on how the mentioned marks were viewed.

It 'appears' to have cleaning lines on the obverse....If so, it would be 'details'... If not 58/62... Cheers, RickO

I wanted to try a video GTG as a change from the normal static photo and since this coin wasn’t easy to fully capture in a photo.
I also was trying to show the PL qualities (especially on the obverse).

    The grade is AU 55:

It's not my series, but I am a bit surprised by the grade. It does make you wonder if it was silently net graded.

I am happy overall with the coin regardless of grade.
It was a bit of a gamble based on the photos below.
I guess I trusted the seller, who described it as follows:
"Strong strike and the coin looks uncirculated. Exceptional definition and good appeal."

Seller's photos show less chatter in the fields, wouldn't you agree?

There was no light on the obverse so I was almost certain it didn’t look like that. But yes the seller’s photo makes it look like there is no chatter.

A very nice looking coin in my eyes and your pics reveal the beauty of it so much better!

well....I'd be in favor of a net grade there. It is an expensive coin.....
