Those are beautiful coins and pictures. Do you have a picture of your photo setup?
You do a good job using lots of light without overexposing. That can be tough to do when shooting coins.
Very nice

Nice!!
Nice photos - good control of lighting, and consistent color balance.
Those are marvelous pictures.... Excellent photographs.... Nice coins as well. Cheers, RickO
Kaiser RS-1 copystand and arm, with Kaiser adjustable light holders w/standard sockets, Par30 halogens, Nikon D90 camera, Sigma 150 macro lens. And copies of Goodman's book nearby.

Shot in Raw mode, the only modification I did in Photoshop was to use the sharpen tool one time each image just in case. I shoot in A mode, aperture priority, and the camera decades shutter speed based on lighting. Right now the F is 6.3, typical shutter speeds with the 2 Par30's is 1/400 to 1/1000. Works well for silver, sometimes copper, gold is another problem that this setup does not work for except for some pieces, others not.

Grey card works for WB, don't go home without one.... LIght position crucial as I learned reading Goodman years ago. Halogens have a slight red shift. I could remove it with PS, but what you see above is how they really look under halogen lamps.
