I can see clearly to tell that it has funky surfaces, but there is a zero percent chance I would try to authenticate it from those images. There is a reason that: (1) the photos are small and crappy and (2) that the coin is not in a major TPG holder.
Looks like it could be a real 1889 Philly. Not sure about the CC's - could have been added....or not. The mushy strike above the ear and on eagle's breast is more like an 89-P than an 89-CC.
Absolute fake, IMO. I don't like the denticles, stars, and lack of sharpness in the details. Everything is mushy. Would not touch it with a 10 foot pole
It appears to have a genuine Morgan dollar obverse and reverse.
But no 1889-CC VAM has a date that is that far from the neck and slanted like that.
So I think it is a "sandwich" job (1889 Philadelphia obverse glued to a more-common CC reverse such as 1882-1884).
Personally I believe it is a surface altered counterfeit. The obverse stars are a big 'tell'. It appears someone along the way dipped in some type of deluded acid to provide slightly granular surfaces.

I like that thought dcarr, The photos look like a real XF/AU coin. Luster and/or striking seem correct to me. So a sandwich job makes sense. Interesting too that there's toning/grime inside the CC's.

Looks fishy. Perhaps added mintmark? AU 53

Looks cleaned. If genuine, I'd give it a 53 to 58.
The pictures were taken too many counties away to see anything. Like they're trying to hide something. I'm not even tempted.
And no returns accepted.
RUN AWAY!!!

Hard pass.... Just don't like it so would not buy it and would not submit it....
No point in dealing with a raw coin for that date/mm
I think it will grade NG. No Grade , Not Genuine , Not Good.
I wouldn't buy it with your money.

That is not a coin I would buy... and I like Morgan CC's....the condition of the stars, and I do not like the look of the CC.... Cheers, RickO
The non reflective patch around the CC tells you all you need to know. Added MM.

That was the red flag for me also!

PCGS would grade this a 90. Philly coin with added MM.
It appears someone along the way dipped in some type of deluded acid...........................
someone who thinks it's genuine might be " deluded" but the acid is probably diluted.
Did you do that on your phone? Is it possible to zoom in like that on a PC? I couldn't get anything remotely close to enlarging it that much.
Here's another added MM (not up for sale anywhere).

Yes I’m using an iPhone 8+. I’ve discarded my pc several years ago.
I’ll go to the library if I need to use a pc or to print.
