One for the registry set - 1937-S Walker

Like this series when the luster and strike is good. I know the '37-S tends to come nice, but I've seen my share of so-so ones too. It's too bad that the San Francisco product took such a quality dive in the 1940's. Save for the '35-S, all the other S Walkers of the 1930's can be found well struck with some searching, I've seen some really dandy 33-S pieces, those really seem to come hammered.

This coin is graded MS-66 with a green bean:

    Strike doesn't come as full as one would think.

    I love my 37-S too. It's a PCGS 66+, but the hand isn't quite as well struck as on either of the examples in this thread. I agree with the OP that the 30's S-mint coins come better struck than some seem to expect. Here's mine:
