1964 Roosevelt D over S?

I know there is a common double die variety of this year, but to me there is very clearly an S under the D mintmark. I will do the best I can with the pictures.

I do not see an S under the D... I do see what appears to be die chips...hard to say for sure, there also seems to be some circulation dirt accumulated in there. We will see what others have to say.... Cheers, RickO
Though I think I see what you are referring to... a crossbar on the inside of the mintmark, and perhaps some curving at the top of the mintmark, it doesn't suggest a D over S to me. May be some possibility of a D over a slanted D? Pretty faint so it's hard to tell for sure.
It’s difficult to tell in coins at this state of wariness but I do see something. A S maybe but not so clear to be called D over S. Keep looking.
Best place to buy !

Remember, there was no S mint coins for almost 10 years, so there probably was not an S stamp laying around.
No dimes were made in 1964 with an S mint mark.
The S mintmark was last used in 1955, 9 years before your coin was minted. I can't tell specifically from your pics if there is something there, but it doesn't look like anything significant. Possibly a die chip or Die Tooling mark, but without clear, magnified pics there is no way to be certain.
Need clearer zooms to the MM and without a zoom seeing something to the south and east.
The relief and fields on the dime appears to have been heavily exposed to an abrasive something.

The last circulation strike S dimes were minted in 1955. There is no reason to believe that an old reverse die with a S mint mark would find itself retooled and reused almost a decade later.
