My coworker brought in a Spanish Trail 50c for me to check out today

He’s got great taste in commems so I knew it’d be good.. PCGS MS67+ CAC. Just stunning in hand.

Wow.
Outstanding!
@kiyote
Your friend does have a good eye. Congrats to him/her for a very nice pickup.
Well hope you and your co-worker do not have the same taste in coins. Competition.
That’s a beauty!

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Wow
That's crazy!
Superb and my favorite classic commemorative type.
Well done indeed.
Wow! In my dreams.
Wow thats really nice
Latin American Collection
I have seen a few Spanish Trails from major collections with dark green and red toning. This coin, if it looks like the glamour shot, would be quite interesting to see in person.
Commems and Early Type
What I would give to have a co-worker to talk coins with. Even if they collected commems.
Nice
And here I was expecting you to show a picture of a fake. Very nice piece. I'd be interested to see what other stuff he shows you.

Great Color!
Many successful BST transactions with dozens of board members, references on request.
We definitely have the same taste, unfortunately we don’t have the same paycheck. 😵
+1
Well just means you have to keep nice finds “silent” until you just happened to pick it.
All is good.
Beautiful example of a coin commemorating a lie and a liar.
Your coworker knows what he's doin'. Awesome pretty.
I knew it would happen.
Interesting... Thanks for posting
Very nice set!

Not a total lie. The I-10... I mean US-90 ... I mean Spanish Trail commem does show you how to get to Hoffecker's shop in El Paso from Jacksonville or many cities in between. I just found out yesterday that he had earlier tried and failed to get a Gadsden Purchase commem made in 1929. Same layout, but with a portrait of Gadsden instead of a skull and a map showing El Paso and points west. No road, though.

I sure would 'stretch' on that coin-a lot!
I knew I'd seen this somewhere before...
