Finally I think I have found an official doubled coin. Please say it is and also can't find it in Cherrypickers book or variety vista

Look at this resource for the 1953-D.

You haven't answered my question. Is it a DDR and if so should I post my pics on Brians variety coins

No separation of the serifs. I'm thinking a very dramatic machine doubling.

    Agreed, machine doubling. Sorry.

Thanks for finally answering my question. I would have made a fool of myself if I were to post those images on Brians site. Again I am very new at this. I still will put it in a 2 2 and add it to my collection... Thanks again

I like to refer to this type of "doubling" as shelf doubling. Think of walking up a set of stairs with each stair a shelf. I can visualize this in my mind and thus easy to see.

How do you post images on a dealer's website?

Brian who? I know one who's into varieties big time. I believe that's his website.

Classic machine doubling, by the way.
