Frosted dime in change

Hello everyone. I just got this in some change and it’s interesting to me so I wanted to get some opinions. It’s a standard 2017 D but the field is frosted on both sides. What do you think?

I've been seeing some really nice looking dimes fresh from the rolls lately too. Prooflike even!

It is a result of the state of the die. I had thought some of the frosty dies means die wear, but maybe it means they are brand new?

Sitting safely in a vault all rolled up for the past couple years until now.

Yep... likely in a change jar, roll, sock drawer or some other safe place for the last couple years...Cheers, RickO

    Wait! Isn't that a doubled die? ;)

    Sorry ... I just couldn't resist! :)
