I thought that was a good price 🤪

But I think what you are really asking is , what do YOU (the OP) think is a good price?

I'm not sure what a good price is, that is why I'm asking

They seem to draw a premium over melt. What's a good number for me to buy them at? $14? $15? more?

ok, but what should I expect to pay?

it's hard to tell from the pictures on ebay. it seems the culls go for about $14-15 and the non about $17-$17.5.

    I need an insanity check.

I would pay what wholesalers pay. If you want to pay what the general public pays, then I think you've found your pricing levels.

Or perhaps you would be comfortable finding a level between wholesale and retail.

You should establish your price comfort zone - or zones... one price for culls, another for mid range, and of course, premiums for high grades....also, why are you buying silver? For investment? Future sales? Or just stacking. Cheers, RickO

For a question like this I go to the web site of one of the major bullion dealers such as APMEX to see what they charge for bulk common date silver dollars. This will give you some idea of the retail prices. Don't forget that the 1921 Morgan dollars trade for a little less than other common date Morgan dollars in low MS and circulated grades.

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

Ask yourself what you would sell them for if you needed to. If someone offered me $10-12 for problem free dollars I'd be a little put off. I sold a group of 98 mixed circulated Morgan and Peace on BST back in January and averaged $15ea, a little less after shipping is factored in.

    Figure $25 for 1878 - 1904 Morgan and $18 for 1921 Morgan - 1922 - 1926 Peace.

I bought a lot of about 10 awhile back $15 for the 21's and $20 for the rest.
I kept half and sold half for $25ea to a guy that wanted certain years for his display case.

    Doing the math....
    $16.875ea.
Depending on the condition, id be a looker at that price point.

I think of you can get any non-cull 78-04 for under $18, that’s pretty good.

Perhaps more than $18 for cull 1878-1904 Morgan
