The Ultimate (non-rookie) signed Mickey Mantle card...

Desert_Ice_SportsDesert_Ice_Sports Posts: 285 ✭✭✭

Just got this back from PSA... Pretty much Gem Mint in every way other than t/b centering.

Tied for the highest graded 1950s signed Mantle card (there's a signed '56 Topps in PSA 7 too)

    Awesome card, congrats!

But your thread title got me thinking. What about a signed 52 Topps Mantle? That’s not a rookie card either.

Is there a background to where it’s been hiding all this time?

"Is there a background to where it’s been hiding all this time?"

I was wondering the same thing when I first saw it... But, I have no idea... Obviously, someplace safe.

Ok. Come on. This is a cool card more details please? Did you find it at a show, on the road, did some one call you? We don't need a detailed story about its time in a drawer just about how you came to acquire it.

I wish I had a great story to tell, but unfortunately it's not that interesting... My friend had gotten it on consignment, and the owner had it slabbed by SGC (also a 7)... I bought it from him and sent it to PSA for a crossover... I don't know where the former owner acquired it.

Personally, I think it should have gotten a 7.5, but whatever... I may have it sold already, but if it falls through, you'll see it on my website then, perhaps, on eBay.
