Jefferson nickel

Theirs no date and the edges have ridges like it was put in the wrong mold or what ever it's called. I've been told by some it's worth a lot and others say with out a date it's worth nothing.

It's just damaged. It's been ground down. It's worth a nickel if you spend it.

Post mint damages by someone with a sander and a small ball pein hammer.

Maybe worth zero because cashier may not take it unless you mix it with other change.

If you read up a little on how coins are made you will see that it can't be an error.

It certainly is odd looking, though.

P S. - whoever told you it's worth a lot should not be consulted on coin issues in the future. ;)

It looks like it could have been re-purposed by some past owner. The machining around the edge was done for some reason.

It does look like a mini belt driven flywheel.

It kind of looks like an old worn nickel to me also but the pictures that we are going by are God Awful. It would be nice to see something in focus!

Someone was bored and took it out on the nickel

"May the silver waves that bear you heavenward be filled with love’s whisperings"

"A dog breaks your heart only one time and that is when they pass on". Unknown

@Sherry51.... Welcome aboard.... Your nickel is terribly damaged and, at best, worth five cents... Some cashiers may not even accept it.... Cheers, RickO

Doesn't it look like a damaged coin to you?
