I received my "Discovery Sets" today.

When I saw how nice the 3 Uncirculated coins were (obviously made with care and PL) + the blank planchet, I had to place an order. Took so long to come that I had forgotten I ordered them. The packing job was substandard (much of the tape was not even attached to the cardboard and the Proof Kennedy was loose in the box. Lucky one side was still protected by the capsule. The other half was still in the folder opening where it belonged. If you want a high-grade MS-69 or 70 modern coin for a Registry set, look no further.
This is the only problem I've had from the Mint except for the SF Mint $5 that had popped out of its case and was loose. At least the presentation box kept it somewhat protected.

At least your coins were in the shipping box. Mine was missing the nickel and it probably escaped out the edges of the ill-taped shipping box.
Returned and still awaiting the replacement.
I wonder if our host will make any special consideration for the blank if sent unopened. Will they date or grade a blank? I know they will not date planchets but could this be a first?
Listing is already in Coin Facts.

Other grading services have done the blanks also. I think there will be interest in these down the line - just enough to make a little profit.
I am pretty sure there was a set with a blank planchet some years ago, and I am curious if that one has any special value.

These coins don't appear to have the PL finish of the modern set.
