It looks like an AU, but I also have the impression that much of what some might consider evidence of a past cleaning is actually simply the light coming off a scratched-up holder. It looks like it could be a really nice coin, if I am interpreting the images correctly.
The obverse looks like it could be mid to low AU and the reverse a high AU. I couldn't give a better guess based on the images provided. I do agree that most of the "scratches" appear to be on the holder rather than the coin.

I think the "scratches" are on the holder... I think she straight grades at either 55 or 58...
