Browsing eBay and spotted a possible new purchase. It had good initial particulars, right date, good grade and an excellent price until I went inside and started zooming. There are about 15 fine and a few deeper scratches of course vertically right through the face of the subject coin. Is there a way to remove these without reholdering?

@DiggerJim
A few threads on scratched slabs. There are many more.
My thinking is the use of polish that is used on high-end cars. If someone is willing to use a certain type of polish on a $100,000+ vehicle then...
Recommend caution in whatever you do. If able try a test on a junk slab.

Then again, how OCD are you? With the the current reholder/TV special I’ve submitted several (many) for reholder/TV, knocked out two things at once.
Not very OCD and it’s only a $200 coin. So I think I’ll go for it and try your suggestions.
Thanks @Hemispherical

If done correctly they turn out like new. Practice on one you don't care as much about.
