Dallas you are the stupid one here. You know exactly what I meant!
You can make the argument that I am one of the two stupid people in this discussion if you'd like, but that you are a stupid person in this argument is not debatable. But to drag me down into your stupidity, you'll have to quote what it was I said that was stupid, and explain why it was stupid. Good luck with that.
No, I have no idea what you meant, which made what you actually said all the funnier. Perhaps if you'd just say what you meant to say instead of relying on my ability to read minds this would go better.
And you need to acknowledge that "the pitcher" is not "the one player" responsible for not allowing runs to score, since there are almost always several pitchers involved, and that losses are assigned to pitchers who allow no earned runs to score, and wins are assigned to pitchers who allow more earned runs to score than any other pitcher in the game. You are able to conclude that the assignment of wins and losses to pitchers isn't silly simply because you are ignoring all of the silliness.
Explain why it's not silly to credit a win to a pitcher who allows five runs to score in a third of an inning, or a loss to a pitcher who allows no earned runs in a 13-inning complete game; that, should you choose to accept it, is your assignment.
This is for you @thisistheshow - Jim Rice was actually a pretty good player.
