Bought a coin....On evening of Easter Sunday?!

Enjoying a "lazy Sunday", I was surfing online, and looking at coin offerings.
Found one I thought would work for me....but somewhat over priced, in my humble estimation. But, they have handy-dandy button for "Make an Offer"!
So, I knocked off what turned out to be about 9%, and made the offer.
I figured I might hear back tomorrow, or by mid-week at the latest. It is Easter Sunday, after all!!
10 minutes after making the offer, it was accepted via email!!
Either someone is working 24/7....or it was an automated acceptance(?) Which makes me wonder if I should have offered less.
Never a bad time to buy a coin, I guess....
Any other strange(r) stories out there? (I'm still bored).

Similar experience last night. Was half asleep. 😴 Now I need to check my email to see what I bought.
I too did the same, but my offer was in the morning while everyone was at services (I was not as I just had a total knee replacement). Made an offer of $85 on a BIN of $150 and seller accepted within an hour.....will post when I get.

I'm rather new to eBay but I see a coin in a the exact same scenario.
Same asking price with a BIN that I'd offer the same as you.
The offer would still be a strong price, btw.
If I did make an offer, I'd want to explain my reasoning.
Did you?
I dont want to be blocked.

Dang.... If you waited until this morning it's 8% eBay Bucks!
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Just make your offer & don't be concerned, and DON'T offer an explanation. Make the offer and leave it at that. Saying anything could lead to a back & forth that could go south. It would be highly unusual to be blocked for offering money at any level. The seller might even have it set up to "auto" accept or decline.

Any seller with a smartphone and ebay app will see your offer immediately. All they have to do is pull it out of their pocket to accept/counter/refuse. The beauty of technology!
I also made an Easter Sunday purchase, but it was a regular auction.

Guess I didn't make it clear. Mine wasn't an eBay purchase. Was a "major" online retailer....which is why I was surprised by the Sunday reply, particularly adding on that it was Easter!
Coin has already shipped. No days off for dealers, it seems.....
Yes, I sent a note with the Price guide price for a MS 63, same coin......$80

I purchased one a couple weeks ago.. got notice it shipped.... five days after due date I made inquiry to the seller... Turns out, the item is lost, he refunded my money. I told him if it shows up, I will resend the funds. Big disappointment though.. it was a special medal...Cheers, RickO
