    Looks like a grease filled die, with incomplete details on the lettering of America
    Unless I am missing something, it looks to be worth on 5¢

    @rmuniak

    Agree with A_R. Grease filled die (struck thru grease) will cause that error.

    Appears the the S in cents was also affected.

    The Monticello appears mushy. Cant’t tell with your pics, could be wear or worn die.

    Some reading material:

    Nice coin to keep in a 2x2 for show and tells.

    It all depends on what you mean by "valuable"? I'm thinking maybe 100% return on your money to an error collector.

    From what I can guess, grease filled, poorly struck Jefferson. 1966 business strike coins were typically poorly stuck.

    I agree with you that it's UNC and I agree with the others on the grease filled die.

    As above.

    If it were mine I might keep it as a curiosity, but I don't think it has any real premium.

    I agree with grease filled die on reverse... no real premium involved here... Cheers, RickO
