The 30p is one I still actively consider upgrading. Have seen some knockout pieces with wonderful rose to bluish toning, but have always had some other wart to get me from acting. The 30s on the other hand is more of a settled matter.
One last one for 1927, this guy became a duplicate once I upgraded. Generally I can't afford to keep duplicates, but for now I can't bring myself to part with this one. More CHD images...
From my experience the 1924 buffalo nickel is a tougher date in 64 and up. Not quite as easy to locate as other Philly Buffs.
Others from Philly Buffs that are tough would be the 21 and the 18.
The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
Your coin is also a Class VI doubled die reverse, best seen as thickness on "UNITED STATES" and the dots between those words. All 1924 missing initial coins are paired with this reverse.

Probably the most beautifully toned 28 buffalo nickel I’ve ever seen. It was a treat to image that Buff😊
I’m envious😈
I’m just glad it made it back to Oregon!
Great coins as always, Alain.
That is an amazing strike on that 28-S!
1927

Yup it sure is😂. It’s neither PCGS nor NGC so it was never reholdered. It’s still a very attractive 26 Buff I can tell you that😊
I like it and it’s definitely a unique holder now!

This first 24 Buff is the no "F" variety. kinda rare.
Raw until PCGS puts the 63 label on it, will be a decent placeholder til a nicer one comes along, should CHD let one fall through the cracks.

EDIT since my post this morning it now wears its 63 label. (stupid spots)
