Is it just me, or is something happening here?
A couple of different things, I just clicked the link to create a new DISCUSSION. For some reason, the link is creating a, "Ask a Question" link instead of creating a "New Discussion" link. I tried a couple of different times to make it a discussion thread, not a question thread, just to make sure, but it is definitely forcing me to an "Ask a Question" format.
I suspect that is part of what my original question was when I originally created THIS post, which was that I was editing a PREVIOUS post, and after I "reposted" it, all of the responders to the thread now have, "Does this answer the question? Yes/No". I certainly did NOT add a question to that thread.
I also notice that various of the threads on the US Coin Forum are now displaying black boxes right below the Title Line that show either "Answered" or "Accepted Answer".
So, I'm just wondering what's going on here, are you having this issue, is it just me, is there a bit of a software glitch or what?
Thank You!!!

Seriously though, I noticed the same thing when I was starting to work on a post earlier. And I see a lot of others posting new threads that are questions as well. A little bit confusing. Probably something that will get resolved soon.

The ask a question bug. Maybe @HeatherBoyd can help.
Noticed the same. Wonder who has the Friday night babysitting the forum duty.
Just thought of something... whoever reports the bug, might get the
I dunno but they have their work cut out for them.

I'm in one of those moods.
Maybe @BrettPCGS is our babysitter for the weekend.
I was wondering why my post had the question thingy

Agree. First post that I can see mentioning this oddity and not the space type.

I think ECHOES mentioned it first but everyone forgot the little @ sign.

Except me
I noticed a lot of question threads today.....
@SkyMan The things you noted seem a bit odd to me as well.
Here's another one... I've been a member here since Jan 2007. I log on and off, I'm guessing, an average of 4 times a day from various devices yet I have 16 visits? I've inquired to a mod, to no avail.
Well that explains all the 'Question Answered' threads.... A gremlin crept into the software room and tweaked code....
Cheers, RickO
Exactly, well said Mr. @ricko

apparently there are still conflicts and issues with the new software after all this time. the new stuff is OK but to be honest, I never heard anyone complaining about the old software. the new version seems to have been put in place to accommodate all the cell phone and tablet use, so the end result is problems for desktop users such as myself.
if it ain't broke don't fix it and stop trying to re-invent the mousetrap.
BTW, i like the new software,
Looks like everyone will be getting more badges, the accepted answer badge count should go up quite a bit before this is over.
Sy you of all people should know that you should get a "Go on that alarm" from mission control first...
I'm wondering if Trunp had a hand in this or Putin
A lot of First Answer badges have been awarded since Friday when this problem started.

So YOU"RE the culprit. It all happened when you were editing a previous post, reposting caused the black QUESTION/ANSWER boxes to appear, everywhere. You accidentally linked into the moderators' control program and now control the boards.

Problem might be solved. A new post on this board & one on the Q&A did not convert to a question.
Maybe our speculations were "questionable?"
@HeatherBoyd said a fix was implemented today.
