Pittsburgh ANA & Thank You to @Insider2
Look at who I saw at the Pittsburgh Marriott. He was in town for the coin show.
I was eager for the ribbon cutting.
My new IHC that I bought from Rick Snow of Eagle Eye. A shoutout to @Insider2 who had steered me away from an earlier specimen that a different dealer was selling. It had a speck of green crud on the reverse. My new coin was also several thousand dollars less!
I bought this historical brass specimen at the Kagin’s auction. Paid cash to avoid the 2.9% add on to the 20% buyers fee. Always liked the Humbert slug but it is too expensive for me.
My 2 buddies also went to a nearby museum where we saw a meteorite, robots and a great model train layout.
The turnout seemed good but less than the August show. We enjoyed Pittsburgh and it seemed like the city is doing well. They have a subway that provides 3 free stops. It runs from downtown to PNC park and the nearby museum and casino.

What a wonderful Indian! Particularly good for me to see because I have been trying to find a clear portrayal of the bustline as a diagnostic indicator of the L variety.
The second robot looks to be a pretty close relative of Robbie the Robot in Forbidden Planet.
Whit.
Did you see the 1864 L indian at Angel Dees
I think he had 2 in 64RB!
Thanks for your report @Tomthemailcarrier and that is a very nice IHC.
@Whit Yes, very close “cousins”, B-9 from Lost in Space.
Lovely '64 L.....
I may have to make the trip to Pittsburgh just to see Gort !
Thanks for the report and the great pictures. I will likely never get an octagonal gold slug, but I sure do love them. Cheers, RickO
Nice

Excellent IHC, of course, but I really like the Pan-Pac souvenir.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
