TheRaven's ANA Pittsburgh Show Report **Added a few pictures**
My son and I got to the show at 8:45 Saturday morning for the YN event they were having. Was fairly well attended, 2 hours in length and most of the kids there seemed to enjoy it quite a bit. My 7 year old was very happy to have gone to it. He got two free coins and a piece of world paper money. He also got a 2018 Red book for going to the event, he liked this fact quite a bit.
We walked into the show at about 11, the show was fairly busy but not crazy busy. Some of the dealers were gone but expected on Saturday. There was plenty of security at the show, which was nice to see.
We went over to the kids corner, they had a scavenger hunt thing, kids had to go and talk to 16 dealers about different topics and answer a question on the paper they received. The dealers all enjoyed talking to the kids and showed them really nice coins. My son really enjoyed going around looking for the signs noting talk to me. When finished they took it back to the kids corner and they got a few more free goodies.
The big container of Large Cents for $15 was a really neat thing. Col Ellsworth who had these said he started with 7000 coins to start. My son found a 1833 he wanted.
I was looking for a Proof Mercury Dime and had about 12 of them to pick from on the floor. Ended up with a nice 1942 PCGS PR-66. Was happy. Also picked up a 1898-O VG Barber Half for my set.
Will try and add some pictures later.
Overall show was very good to me and my son really enjoyed going to it, even with the 2 hour drive each way.

What a pleasant experience for you, and your son! Great idea for the giveaways, and integration with scavenger hunt. Even a new Red Book? Should be an experience he will never forget- good job Dad! Nice report.

Great to see the encouragement to your son and other YN's. They are the future. Especially like the Merc. dime and how the toning highlights the date.
Great report, great fun, 'specially love the Barber Half!
