Well, it could be. There is a similar "doubled ear lobe" in 2006 and one back in 1997. Nothing like the famous one in 1984, but if legit would be of interest to the specialist. You say you found 45 coins that look exactly like this one?

Interesting for sure, nice finds.

This is your first post ever and you only want "veteran responses"?
Anywho. welcome, and looks very interesting. Could just as easily be a die chip, but would be nice if it was a DD.
I assume you have looked around and not found a recognized DD for that date. Better get this nailed down fast so if it is a DD you can get credit for the discovery coin.
Welcome,
If you found 45 that look exactly the same there is a very good chance you have either a die chip or a doubled die.
Your photos are very good for a new member but do you think you can get some better ones?
Thank you all for commiting on my topic on the 2018 D double ear lobe I will try to post some better pics. I will purchase a stronger macro lense in the morning and see if they are more detailed thank you every one again for your responses
No need to go buy more stuff. You are doing well with what you have. Just try lighting from a few different angles and maybe move your lens back then crop your photo.
It's something, but the shape doesn't match the ear like one would expect for a DDO. Nice pics

I agree. It looks more like a die chip or some minor damage.
I would look up John Wexler and send him an email with some pics. This is his bread and butter. He also writes a column in Coin World, and if this turns out to be a true doubled die, he will most likely include it in his "Varieties Notebook" and post it to his site as well.
Good luck!

There is definitely something there, and if you have 45 of them, it could well be mint made... I agree with @DCW... Check with John Wexler... This could be interesting. Cheers, RickO

DCW I WILL AS SOON AS I GET THE RESPONSE THANK YOU AGAIN GOOD CALL THAT GUY HAS SOME SUPER MAN NOWLEDGE BEHIND HIM I HAVE BEEN TO THE SITE BUT I NEVER CHECK OUT HIS BIO UNTIL THE OTHER DAY WOW THANKS AGAIN
John Wexler is the man. He attributed 4 of my 2016-D Roosevelt DDR's. I believe you have a variety; nothing is drastic with these doubled dies concerning moderns. My congrats with confidence.

Han let me know
Happy hour yet.:)
Where’s the other five from the roll?
Happy hour is over, it's more like closing time..... I think everyone has had their fill.
I'm still going to say I believe it to be a ddo. The pictures are bad, yes. They are nowhere near conclusive. But, I see a doubled ear lobe for what it is worth.
Minor, but significant to those who collect them all.
Wexler will get back to you, just have a little patience.
