Many members here can remember spending enjoyable time reading the Rare Coin Review from Q. David Bowers and his partners. These issues (1969 - 2003) are now available online:

I love the NNP.
Have spent hours and hours and hours over there in the past few months.

You got caught in the vortex, too!
thanks for the heads up!
What a great resource... The NNP is truly a great value to our hobby. Cheers, RickO
That vortex is quite mighty!
I'm still reading through old mint records, trying to keep a file with bookmarks to interesting subjects - every time my wife walks by the computer, all I get is the "More old coin letters huh?"
RG 104 Box 120 hit the NNP last night - that's tonight's project!

These are among the best price lists from any US coin dealer. They often included interesting and original articles not found elsewhere. I bought several coins from early issues, although I could never quite save enough for one of the 1799 eagles. Offerings from the Hathaway & Bowers era were always of superior quality. Later, when Jim Ruddy re-connected with Bowers, the quality declined, although replacements for returns were much better.
Wonderful! Thank you to all who made this happen!

I don't remember the issue but one article in that series formed the basis for much of what I teach about toning and the color of coins. I wish I could credit the author.
But I still like my paper copies. Though I have already looked at the NNP to see some I don't have.

Mine is happy that I am just reading and not buying...
