SCD and Robin Yount - please post your favorite anything?
Hi everyone
I was reading this segment in SCD on Robin Yount:
Now, what I "didn't" know?
He had an older brother Larry who was drafted by the Houston Astros and has no Topps cards.
Larry holds the unique distinction of being the only pitcher in Major League Baseball history to appear in the official record books without ever actually having faced a batter.
In his only major league appearance—on September 15, 1971—he had to leave the game during his warm-up pitches due to injury. From what I can see? He never played in the majors again.
Here's a custom card a la Bob Lemke of brother, Larry:
Here's my contribution - as you can see by the number, I've had this card since around 1992/3.
So, bring out what ya got?
I did pull a nice Yount auto card in a Topps Archives pack many years ago - have no idea where it right now, tho.

Around 15 years ago I purchased a run of ‘70s cellos from BBCE. I think it was 1976-1980. The ‘78 I got happened to have your boy showing on top!
I don't have much from his career but I did appreciate his style of play. Tough, hard-nosed, no-nonsense kind of guy.
I think I have his rookie from my old childhood beater collection. That's about all I have left of my baseball cards. Once I got heavily into football I sold all of my graded baseball.

You made me think he died.
I can see where that could be construed Nick - changed the title.
Guess I could've opened with I'm a big fan - nothing like Matt and Smith tho.
One big thing for me? I had no idea he had a brother in MLB for a moment in time.
Only Yount I have.

PSA Pro Football HOF Rookie Players Set Registry- (Currently 19.80% Complete)

A beauty!
I have always been a fan of Yount. I think he is somewhat underrated, at least for a first ballot HOFer. he had some amazing standout years. his 1982 was one of the greatest ever for a SS. I wonder what may have been had he been more focused in his early years. He expressed some interest in becoming a pro golfer back in the late 70ś
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Being a Lifelong Brewers fan, I have a lot of respect for Robin and his amazing career.

I have a really sharp 1975 Topps PSA 7.5 but unable to post it right now. It's packed away. Once I get unpacked, I'll try to remember to post it.

Grew up watching the Brew Crew - Yount, Molitor, Cooper, Gantner, Thomas etc. Harvey's Wallbangers.
Here's a mini I bought a few years ago. I've since gotten it re-holdered.
He was great HOF'er/player that I enjoyed watching.
Thanx for the responses guys.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention how sweet that Yount mini is.
Here's a card I pulled years ago - Topps Archives
Speaking of players with famous brothers who only played one game, does PSA grade these?

Have no idea Alex.
Here's an OPC one that I like having in my stash!
Work in progress - Unopened Racks/Cello/Wax with star power for Baseball, Football and Basketball
Collecting unopened 80's boxes and graded packs
I may be hoarding too much 80's junk wax but I like it!
I love the signed 93 refractor. that is awesome.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Every time the name Yount pops up; gumbyfan always comes to mind.
At discovery world in Milwaukee today.. here are a few things of Robin.

Thanx for posting Nic.
And thanx Matt - at the time - very cool to pull.
Some cool stuff posted so far.
Mine isn’t special but it takes me back to my childhood when I altered my 1976 Young with whiteout on the corners and edges. Now all grown up I decided on a better copy.

Pack pulled by myself from a rack pack about 15 years ago. Always a nice thing and no puddle.
