Is there a glossary of terminology for card hobbyists?
Newbie recently dabbling in baseball cards again after 20 year break. I know you folks are speaking English, mostly, but a lot sounds foreign.
The terms thrown around are baffling, lol!
So far I know what hangar packs and blasters are.
What are the fancy names for the random special cards like SP, refractor, etc.
Anyone want to school me on terminology?
Also do you card guys collect lowball sets, of the lowest graded card? Believe it or not, some coin collectors go for the lowest possible grade (not me)
Also, does anyone collect the WORST players for a given year or team. I thought that might be a fun mini set to build, haha.

Thank you. Are short prints like a limited edition card, a small size, or low mintage?

Low mintage to put it in coin terms.

My 1971 Topps adventure - Davis Men in Black
I would never do that normally, but 5 or 6 years ago, I was on a real bender with 1975 Topps baseball cards, buying up partial sets and lots. I acquired roughly 35,000 to 40,000 total, and set about making some really nice raw sets. But mixed in with those lots were some real dogs. Rounded corners, writing on front or back, coffee stains, window pane creasing, etc. A few even looked like they'd been soaking in a mud puddle or just dug up from the backyard. Normally, when sorting lots, I would pitch those right in the trash. But on a whim, as I was putting my premium sets together with the best examples of what I had, I thought it would be fun to also put together a set using the worst example of each card. So, that is how I came to be the owner of likely the world worst 1975 complete set. I put it in an album using Ultra Pro Platinum pages, and surprisingly, I've gotten it out to look at and show off to people many more multiple times than my "best" raw 1975 set. That album full of dogs is actually one of the more enjoyable and entertaining items that I have. It's probably not worth much of anything to anybody but me, but the cards definitely have character.
