I need help...

I am getting back into baseball cards since I last stopped collecting in the early 1990's. I am not up to speed on my card lingo and definitions that weren't used much back then. Is there a thread here somewhere that defines different terms like SP, SSP, breaks, etc? I just need a little help getting back into the swing of things, so to speak. Any help on an informative thread or link to another website would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a good glossary of most of the abbreviations you'll see: https://www.tradingcarddb.com/Glossary.cfm/let/S?MODE=GET
There's a bunch of 'getting back into the hobby' type threads here covering a wide array of topics: https://forums.collectors.com/search?adv=1&search=getting+back+into+the+hobby&title=&author=&cat=11&tags=&discussion_d=1&discussion_question=1&discussion_poll=1&comment_c=1&comment_answer=1&within=1+day&date=
Welcome back!
Sub the "I" with "you" and this is a phase I hear all too often from my wife😊
Just answer her by saying......"Yeah, cause I don't get any from you."
welcome back!
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Haha ok but I'm telling her you told me to say it😁

Here's a nice start by David Rudd - it's a start.

I recommend you check out other places in his web - the information he provides is priceless. E.g. how to tell if a card from the turn of the century is real or not - i.e. - chromolithograph vs photoengraved.
And don't be afraid to come over and ask questions.
Also - this is one of my favorite sections of Rudd's web on "printing" - highly recommend when you have lots of time to digest.

PM me if you want to ever talk privately - I don't know everything but have been collecting for 30 yrs now. So....I know nothing!
I recognize you!
I am in the same boat, 20 years out, dabbling back in now. Trying to learn all the lingo.
