Huge thank you to a fellow member for selling it. It is a unique Daniel Carr piece. 9 minted, I believe. I love the Indian showing through still!

Very cool. Any idea what the date of the Indian $10 gold is?

Nope, I've tried and tried and can't make it out. Any idea @Lakesammman ?
I'm guessing it isn't a 1933.

I’m torn knowing a $10 Indian died to strike it...
Don't worry, it was common date in common condition. That Indian is worth more now than it ever was
very cool piece. congrats
I’ve got one that will be coming my way

No, I meant to keep track of the underdate on those but not sure if it means much if you can't make it out.
There was a small batch made over 1849 $10's attempting to preserve the date because of the connection to the Oregon Exchange Company production in 1849. Here's one of them.
Cool piece @jwitten - congrats!
great pickup, gold prices will continue to go up now that the fed announced no interest rate hikes due to a slower economy yesterday
I feel ya
I guess now I can consider my $10 Indian a rescue $10 Indian
