I'm a buyer at 63 price all day long. IMO a nice 64, NOT AU - eagle feather tips and hair, etc. not fully struck up. Cheek = beautiful.
To each their own, but I really like the clean non-apple cheek which unfortunately usually comes saddle with less hair detail....
Love that Milled British (1830-1960) Well, just Love coins, period.
I think I recognize that one from ebay now that I see the "Wise Collection".
So you are crossing this? Let us know how that goes. Why not crack it and sent it raw though?

I could crack... just a bit scared of damaging it. I have cracked many coins but none of this value or the other morgan that I was considering crossing. I have in the past wrapped in a towel and taken a hammer to them but there has to be a better way. I’m not a tools guy so if it involves vice grips and stuff I don’t have the tools and don’t care to purchase them. Call me less of a man if you may but I let the pros take care of things around the house so there’s no need to buy tools generally.
Things I like to do: Collect PL Morgans. That’s is all.
Nothing wrong with that, things are generally best left to the pros. I am on the other end of the spectrum, any opportunity to add to my tool set gets taken. Just gonna throw it out there that Knipex makes some damn fine cutters and pliers, if you ever need any.

So now I have curiosity at least about the way to do this safely with your suggested tools.

I've only had to cut a few out. They are only sealed around the perimeter, so just trim the edge of the slab and stay away from the coin. Wear safety glasses though, pieces can still fly off.
The flattened upper rays on the obverse would bother me for an MS coin. I am not a Peace dollar collector nor student of their strike, but of the 5 other NGC MS63 Peace dollars I have viewed, all had rounded rays. Maybe this is a factor of different dies. I don't know. Hope someone can tell me.

Grade Revealed Bump, Also a preview of my intentions. I think it's a 64 maybe 64+ all day personally.

I agree with the 63 grade. I don't see the luster/eye appeal of a 64 here.
Just my 2 cents worth. Real value may be closer to one cent.
Nailed that one.... ... Cheers, RickO
