My latest from BS&T (thanks @DNADave ) General Dynamics Astronautics token struck on a 1922 Peace Dollar.

The only thing I can find out about this token is that they were only known to be struck in aluminum.

Anyone else know anything about this piece?

Cheers

Bob

OMG! I started having a seizure with those flashing coins! :o

Edited to add after seizure: Nice overstrike.

I need a doughnut. I wasn’t prepared for the flashing either.

    I brake for ear bars.

Of all the '22-'23 Peace Dollars available...they just had to goober up a '21...shame!

My eyes could be playing tricks on me but I think it's a 22. B) Or maybe I need to take the sunglasses off.

Maybe, but it looks more like a 24 to me.

    Trade $'s

It is, in fact, a 1922. The person who was nice enough to create that picture used a 1921 as the overlay.

    Cheers

That is an interesting piece....The others were struck in aluminum? Then likely this one was made for one of the top guys in GD or Astronautics.. and maybe there are a couple more out there. Cheers, RickO

That's an awesome pick up @Outhaul. The overlay does a good job of showing how the overstrike is positioned.

There are a bunch of General Dynamics tokens out there. It could be fun to put together a set.

an interesting piece, Bob. I find it a bit funny to think that someone beat forum darling Dan Carr to the "overstrike" game by 40-50 years. this may open up a new market, overstruck SC$'s, CWT's and Merchant Tokens.

Dan, are you paying attention??? :);)
