Speaking of buried treasure.....

I had a customer in the early 80's who was the son of the author of The Peralta Cache.
He kept wanting me to go with him to look in the Superstition Mountains for the Lost Dutchman.
Never did. Actually didn't think it would be that fun.
But it was sure interesting talking to him about his trips with his dad into that rugged place.

That might have been a fun excursion. Like something from a Louis L’Amour novel.
Not much to add, except in unrelated news, Peralta is the last name of the character Jake Peralta, a detective of the show Brooklyn Nine-Nine. It is a humorous modern police tv show (I enjoy).

@topstuf You are a smart gentleman.
I 'd probably like to read this, but the cheapest Amazon copy is $50 plus shipping.
I just noticed that when I stole the image.
I can tell you that not much happens in the book. I finished it not REALLY knowing if they found anything neat or not.
About ten years ago, there was a hardback book about underwater gold treasure off the coast of Peru.
Cost like $29.
After 240 pages of the most tedious stupid story imaginable, not a damn thing actually happened.
Nowadays, I always suspect that 'nothing happens' is one possible outcome.
I have spent time in the Superstition Mountains... doing some prospecting...biggest danger is encroaching on somebody's claim... they do not like claim jumpers... and people go missing up there every year....Cheers, RickO
Sounds like scary fun !!!
Another Oak Island? Call the History Channel!
