celluloid mirror gems

I just recently joined pcgs after about a 7 yr break from coins.I had a 1909 Lincoln that was in a celluloid advertising pocket mirror that was part of my local history collection. The mirror has been just sitting in a display case in my artifact room. With my renewed interest in coins I decided to take a closer look at the coin.It was tough to decipher through the scratches and off color of the celluloid.I could see that it was nice but didnt fully understand how nice until I carefully broke it out.The luster is blinding!! 1/8 inch movement equals about 4 cartwheels!! Sent it express( little patience here) and I am pretty happy with the grading results.I will be sending the coin back for reconsideration as I truly believe it is 67 material.Especially after comparing it with 66's and 67's.I will share the results in another post.Attn: If you should go looking for these old pocket mirrors with coins in them be careful.Ive seen many cut out and replaced with junk. There is a certain time period that these mirrors were produced. The coins date should coincide with this time period.

A 1909 Lincoln cent was much more interesting in the celluloid holder than it is in a slab. It may very well be worth more as well. You are now starting to waste money by submitting for "reconsideration".
Thank you!
291fif. it's called my money and your opinion.they dont mix well
I'm truly sorry I've tried to share this! I should have known better.
Welcome & congrats on the grade. Also good job starting your own thread.
That is a heck of a score! Ms66+RD

I don't think this is true. If it is 66+ Red (maybe $500) and upgraded to 67 Red (maybe $1500), it is more than worth the price of submission.
I also don't think there is any way you could sell a celluloid mirror for $500...
