The Lowell quarter in-hand looks fantastic

I really like the design! It reminds me of the Isabella quarter. Miss Liberty is great but these anonymous mill workers helped make America what it is today— working their fingers to the bone for little pay and little protections, sometimes even dying in their trade.

Every year I buy one 5 ounce pack and I was going to get the Texas one but I think I may get two this year, San Antonio and Lowell.

I was a small vessel Captain for the Lowell National Park for a number of years running tours up the canals, locks, and the Merrimack River. I was thinking about buying one as well.

Nice design ! Has activity and life. Unfortunate that the die work is not better - could have been an extremely good commemorative quarter.

RE: "...working their fingers to the bone..." It was not uncommon for some of those fingers to go missing during factory work!

I was going to take the grand kids to the release ceremony, but it was the same day as the Patriots Victory Parade. I didn't want to get stuck in traffic for hours.

Nice design... I worked in a textile mill for a while after I got out of the Navy (Pepperell Mills in Maine)...Sure did learn a lot about the process... from raw cotton to sheets and blankets... Cheers, RickO
