Ok
I wish our artwork could even approach that.
I knew it would happen.
Just received last week. I like the flowing hair feeling.
A newer 2 ounce bullion piece. Thought the work on this was very good.
Waiting for this one to arrive.
And this one with Ultra High Relief
One of my favorites!
Does this count?

I always thought this one of America’s beautiful medal.
Even though a copy it looks very, very good.

HK-283.Official Medal struck in Mint Exhibit from dies made at Philadelphia Mint.

It is thought that maybe 25,000 of these coins were sold but today they are scarce in all metals.
The obverse has been described as one most beautiful women in the Trans-Mississippi country. And has been said to be one the prettiest obverses on a SCD.

Gorgeous pieces
I knew I had a few pictures of this small plaquette.
I have a weakness for these and when I can find them with the box I almost have to buy it.
Super post.....

@WildIdea - The small plaquette I'm receiving ( 36MM X 51MM ) has the box
I had this one for awhile
A couple more since this topic seems to be appreciated. **WARNING ! ** These medals are addicting.
No wonder I can't find one.....
Is it any wonder that medal collecting was much more popular than coin collecting until about 1930?
Monnaie de Paris
Love the topic

I dug our a few more pieces. My wife is interested in Joan of Arc and bought this attractive piece for her.
Found this medal tucked away in a case antiquing in Beacon Hill area Boston last year. Morlon is a favorite medalist of mine.

Mother’s Day gift for my wife. Dresser set is just so neat, dated 1924. Mrs WildIdea and I share a love of Art Nouveau and this crossover piece is pretty much the closest to numismatic material she’ll get 😂 Close enough for me, I’ll take any shared interests I can get.

Wow!! Some amazing medals and tokens... I fervently wish we could have real art on our coins...So sad to have such poor designs on the coinage of a great country. Cheers, RickO
The U.S. Mint should hire some French artists.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

Why couldn't art deco beauty have be applied to the moon landing series?

Not as busy as the Waterloo Medal above, this one has fabulous toning that makes the coin pop!

Wow. I know designs like this would be impossible to produce on a scale suitable for circulating coinage, but look at some of these and then look at your pocket change. Surely, with a little vision and effort we could do a little better.
Since we're showing silverware...
