Key date portrait 8 Reales sets a new record

I know the estimate was low, but that's more than double what the other NGC62 sold for in 2017 (Heritage). Surprising, especially considering prices realized for other keys in the series.

And the next question is: to whom did it hammer? @TwoKopeiki perhaps?

Very interesting to find such a Mexican coin hanging out in Poland. It just goes to show, great coins can still be found almost anywhere.

Some Philippine patterns turned up in a Japan auction where they realized (what I thought to be) very high prices. Turns out that someone bought them and consigned them to Heritage NYINC and they realized even more!

Nope, I'm yet to find an 1810-TH that I liked. That includes the AU example in my collection. The other NGC62 was successfully crossed to PCGS, but also doesn't get my heart racing, if you know what I mean.

I agree. That coin doesn’t excite me either.
