A new DHNIG [David Hall's Numismatic Investment Group] twist - at least for me

If you type in David Hall Flip in the eBay search window, you should find 9 new auctions for DHNIG flips.
The new twist for me - some of the auctions contain images of 3 original invoices from DHNIG, one each from 1983, 1985 and 1987. I had never seen one of these, and find it to be a cool little "extra". Interesting to note the seller is selling the coins, but made it a point to state the sale does not include the invoices.
If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

Yeah, I thought those were neat when I saw those listed too.
You mentioned one of the invoices is from 1987... the latest I saw was January 1986. Remember that by Feb/March 1986 PCGS was up and running. I liked seeing that January 1986 invoice as it shows them using certification numbers in the 107XXXX range. PCGS started using certification numbers starting with 108XXXX the next month. Pretty cool.

You are correct, I was looking at the credit card expiration date.
Another blast from 30+ years ago - the credit card number is listed on the invoice.

1883 10C MS-65, Invoice cost $2800?
Full PCGS retail right now is $600.
Why would the invoice not be included with the coin? Retained for tax purposes on profit? Cheers, RickO
they are selling the 3 coins on the invoice in separate auctions
Was anyone bidding on these and just received an eBay bid cancelled notice?
I had a bid in on the Oregon Commem and now see that the seller has ended the auction.
Did they get a big offer?
It's sad to see these auctions canceled. I could see the seller leaving money on the table as these could have gone for quite a bit if the auction was left to play out.

I asked the seller if he had a BIN price at the very beginning but his reply was the auctions already have bids...so I’m guessing he got a huge offer to close them out?
Don't quote me on that.
It looks like he closed the Oregon and a WLH. If you bid on one of those, wait a couple days and message them saying you are disappointed and had already set a $XXXX snipe bid.
I’ve done that before but the seller usually just ignores it. If they were fine with pulling the auction, they won’t really care what some unhappy bidder has to say.
Cool coins!
.

Out of curiosity, what would you have bid on this?
If you see something you must have, always shoot them your best offer immediately. It works, and looks like it did here also?! (Even If they say they won't end it, looking at a huge legit offer may change their mind.)
At least twice what they got....
Don't quote me on that.
That’s hard to judge since we don’t know what the seller got.
As for myself, I’m not sure how far I’d go. It would have been quite a bit higher than what an Oregon in MS 65 normally goes for in PCGS or NGC holders.
