Are the slabs going to “save” me?

We really can't decide without a price point.

At $1000 for the 3, you should be committed.

At $50 for the 3, you should be perfectly happy.

Somewhere in between lies the line not to be crossed.

They are Morgans, so yes, you should be committed. Lol.

Depends on the price, but based on your reaction, and seeing some common AU morgans in frumpy grades. I am going to guess, yes. :)

Old holders only help you if the coins inside are nice coins. Committed, well in some respects we all can fall into that category at times.

Nice slabs...depending on the price point you might be OK. If they were 79-S's I would make an offer for my grading set but alas they are not! :)

Depends on what the heck you're doing? Are they VAM varieties that caught your fancy? Below melt on the prices? They are a dime a dozen in that condition. Are you filling a tube of 20?

Depends. Do the eagles have breast feathers? If so, there's hope. 96-O tends toward very weak in the reverse.

But I know what you mean. I have some things I'll never get out of alive.

They look pretty nice for AU's to me, but I'm not a Morgan collector.

If you bought them in April of 2003, you were probably thinking that silver was cheap in the $6-$6.50 range and maybe you should buy a few Morgans.

  • How much is is the asking price? If it's less than $360, yes , committed.

I would not normally consider these for purchase... however, if they were $20 each, I might pick them up for speculation. Cheers, RickO
