I was in on a few. I pulled a 75 mini Nolan Ryan that got a PSA 9. Steve also sent me a 79 rack with Pete Rose on top. We did an 80s run of wax that was an absolute blast.

1981 Topps Football Rack case? (72 racks)
That was available for the last group break and we didn’t have many takers. Might have been lost in the shuffle with all the other items. I’d be in for that again though.
It's significantly cheaper per rack than what it would be per rack from the 3-box rack case at BBCE ($85ish vs. $120ish). Plus, I like that the top of the box says "stars." It's BBCE wrapped, too.
I'm also interested. However, there's not much on the BBCE site to get excited about right now. They had a 1978 sealed rack case a couple of weeks ago that sold for $9999. Price point would have been 138 before shipping. Not cheap but some of us would have likely gotten some stars on top/bottom.

Well seems like there’s plenty of interest. We just need somebody to contact Steve and run the thing, lol. I actually don’t even know If I would be getting in on any of the packs/boxes as I’m pretty focused on basketball these days, but I would volunteer to be the point man on this if no one else wants to do it. I’ll start by sending an email to Steve and then we can use this thread to get ideas of products we want to ask for.
Sounds good, Steve. I'd be willing to help run it, as well.
Thanks Tim. I reached out to Steve today via email and I am just waiting to hear back from him. I will reach out to you Tim, when I hear back and I will keep everyone updated in this thread.
What about the 1980 hoops box with the Johnson/Bird rookie showing? for a few more bucks, might be worth it for someone to get a chance at that.
Also, any interest in other basketball boxes like 2003 that have LeBron James rookies or 1996 with Kobe rookies or 2009 boxes with Curry rookies? Always nice to get packs from years with key rookie cards. Same with 2000 football boxes that have Brady rookies.
Ok, Here is the update. I got a reply from Steve this morning and he is very excited to host another break for us. At this point, we just have to hash out what products we are interested in and then I will talk to him about pricing and hopefully we can work out some favorable pricing depending on what we are breaking and how much.
I think it will be easier for us if the potential product list can be viewed in the first post as opposed to on the second page. So just to make that easier, I will start a new thread asking for suggestions for products for our break, so that we can get a working list going.

I would ask for suggestions via PM so if someone is watching, it won't disappear like the 85 Donruss rack case.

We actually broke a box where there was a Bird/Magic rookie showing once. I forget who got it, but it was a lot of fun waiting for the packs to come in.

Hmm... I had not thought about that. I sort of figured it would be easiest to post on here what people were interested in. I will leave that up to the group.

So guys, there is a BBCE group break thread going to, at least I think. Check out the thread and they are asking for thoughts. I too, got in on those early 2009-2012 breaks where we got boxes and racks pretty cheap. Almost all of mine are still in the boxes Steve sent out, sealed. I think I wrote what was in the box and threw them in a plastic container, now safely put away until ...well I don't know what.

Could somebody describe in detail how this works? I've never done this before.
Or, if there's only a handful of us interested in the 1981 Topps Football racks, then maybe purchase this rack box
https://ebay.com/itm/1981-Topps-FOOTBALL-Rack-Pack-Box-24-racks-48-cards-BBCE/254112079548?hash=item3b2a429ebc:g:diAAAOSwiKdcWySe:rk:8:pf:0

Here's one that was done in the past ... https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/985893/bbce-mania-ii-group-break-thread-closed-23-payments-in-19-payments-outstanding/p1
Cool. So it looks like everything goes through BBCE..that's easy enough
I'm in for a few and who ever runs it will I will throw in $20 towards 1 of there spots.
I'm also interested. However, there's not much on the BBCE site to get excited about right now. They had a 1978 sealed rack case a couple of weeks ago that sold for $9999. Price point would have been 138 before shipping. Not cheap but some of us would have likely gotten some stars on top/bottom.
Gone. We’re being watched.
Darn it
1992 Collectors Edge Football case?
I’m afraid to suggest anything.
I'm not. Let's go for the 1988 Fleer case.
Andy
What case was that? I only saw a 1988 Fleer baseball rack case on the BBCE site.
Any interest in the 80/81 BKB box for $6000 (just under $150/ea)
Or the 1977 FB for $3300 (around $90/ea)?
These are the kind of suggestions I like to see. Let’s build a list of suggestions (box, case, racks, wax, etc) and then take a poll.

I’m happy to run it again. Will need a couple of weeks to get something organized (away until 3/4).
Post what products you are interested in to this thread and I will see what Steve can do for us.
Edited: I see Steve (slum22) is already on it. Let me know if You need any help
