I tried removing spots like that many years ago. The results were always bad. Rather than fooling around with it you would probably be best off just selling the coin and not looking back.
Probably best to sell it... it will not command a premium.... Not sure how much you have invested in it, but it will not pay to invest any more....IMO.....Put it on the BST....Cheers, RickO

Not likely, those are what I call atmospheric burns! They are usually caused by a pinhole in a 2X2 over many years.
