Completed the Dansco 7070, again!

I finally added the last coin to my 7070. I had it filled several years ago but later took three type coins out to slab and sell. I was frustrated looking for these common type coins at a recent local show. The coins generally were overpriced and crappy. I came home and took to the internet.

Two coins were purchased from Gerry Fortin, and the last coin arrived this week, a 1917 SLQ Type I in PCGS XF-45, from Great Collections. This latter coin was meatier, more original, and lower in price than many of the drecky options at the show. I am glad to be done with this project (again).

Cool. Any chance you could post photos of the completed pages? It's always a pleasure to see a complete 7070.

The 7070 is a modern icon of collecting. Once you do one . . . .you get hooked. So many ways to complete it . . .so much fun to get it underway.

    Congrats . . . . . .

Congrats...again! I just retired my Complete Dansco 7070 Modified Type Set (1796-Date) No Gold before I part with some of it to pay "THEIRS" on some back taxes that I owe.

How funny! I lucked into a free 7070 album today that even has the gold page. It is one of the classic ones and it appears to be never used. Congrats on completing the set!
