I'm squinting really hard, but I can't convince myself that there is a dot after the E of FINE. That makes me lean towards fake but the photos are so bad that I can't be sure.

Bingo, thus why I took the shot. At this point I don't see one and that is what I was hoping for. And if not the next inspection would be too check if genuine, hoping it is.

That's the second thing I looked for after date/mm. I thought it had a slight period.. bit again, poor photos. Look forward to an update.

Well ..... if it is a real rare one; the seller would've treat it much better because the standing deserves it!
More likely fake the way it was treated :s

Except minor varieties are not well known, collected, nor cared about

In time Insider, just having some fun. If one doesn't like what I posted they are free to ignore. Not everything has to be serious, this is a lite discussion and hopefully will be educational to some degree not that is a must for a thread to be justified.
Would you rather if I post pics of my trip to a show and all the resulting dinners I had there? Would that be more interesting?

As I wrote; I thought you were a T$ specialist and that to had found a counterfeit coin that you posted to educate members. Note the title of your post: Lets rip this one apart, Real or Noreal? Unfortunately, there is no way to tell from the image but it is probably genuine. Hopefully, after reading comments in this thread, your next post will be useful.

What I neglected to write as it should not be necessary to say: This is an open forum for everyone interested in coins. There are all levels of knowledge represented here. You have listed many of the topics of discussion that prove this. The fun of CU is anyone can post, interact with others, and acquire friends and knowledge. You are to be commended for being actively involved and posting rather than just lurking. :)

I would take it out of the 2x2 to weigh it and get a better view of it. You can always put it back in if it isn't real for the return trip if needed.
