While I knew he was very ill, I was still very saddened to hear the news that Baseball Legend & Hall of Famer Frank Robinson had passed away last week. My game used collection only has a handful of non Orioles items, however I am grateful that one of those items is the last batting helmet that Frank wore as a member of the (then) California Angels in 1974. The helmet was originally sourced from an Angels clubhouse employee who took the helmet home as a souvenir the day that Frank was traded to the Indians (he then wrote the date in Ink on the interior label). RIP Frank & thank you for the memories.

Bill, that is an absolutely amazing piece from one of the greatest men to ever play the game.
Thank you
I'm glad I added his signature on it at a show in NJ about 10 years ago.

That's sweet.

If I may be so bold, perhaps slip it into this thread as well? You could quite literally edit and copy and click and paste:

I say it because I am a Yankee fan, he is perhaps the greatest Yankee killer in history and that thread has gotten a lot of eyes and could use such a phenomenal piece in it...
...WOW!
PS - I was one of the first people to click this thread when you were in the teens on views. I hemmed and hawed about this post. I hope it is taken the way I intended. Great piece.
