According to this ended auction a lot. App. $8,500. The card itself can be had way south of $500. Seems crazy to me.

Wow! You really have to be a Griffey collector to pony up that much.
I might be in the Top 10
If some collectors thought the signed 1984 Fleer Update Puckett selling for over $13k was nuts, I wonder what they say about the Griffey.
That Sp Chirography Griffey auto has got to be one of, if not most most favorite modern card. Someday............sigh.
This one?
Thats the one! I love that set and that card, to be is the greatest.

Ken has such a great signature. That is sorely missing from most modern players
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
These Griffey autos are pretty special as well. UD did some great work back in the day. For some reason the simplicity of the white boarder and stylized picture with the blue autograph on the original Chirography auto just does it for me. I had wanted to go for the whole set at one time and someday may still do it if I can find a Griffey at a decent price.
I love your collection. YOU never cease to amaze.
Good luck with the set in the future, and I agree UD Was Great!!
