He was the one who did the early counterstamps for Mel. After he passed away, Mel suspended his counterstamps for many years. When he started again, the counterstamps had a different look.
Thank you - I was curious because I purchased a Mel Wacks counterstamp and it had Adam Cool on the storage box.
I know why Adam was cool , but I'm not going to say
It's because he wore sunglasses
at night
My Uncle Adam was Cool, one of the funniest guys I ever knew. He lived in Brigantine NJ. My father worked for him part-time. I still have some of his coins.
When I was in the Navy, there was a fellow aboard ship with the last name of Cool.... and he did everything to live up to his name... Cheers, RickO
The original Mr. Cool had to be "Cool Hand Luke" , actually i would go with Steve McQueen in Bullitt..
🎶 shout shout, let it all out 🎶
He wrote The Wealth of Nations while wearing sunglasses.
I think he was implicated in a Fonzi scheme.
The future looks so bright, I gotta wear shades.
Adam J. Cool was a die engraver who made most of the Wacks counterstamp dies.
He also did dies for many elongated cents, miniature coins, die struck tie tacs and clips, and a Disney punch-out
