Low tonight in fargo is -36, wind chill -65, high tomorrow is -18.
I moved up here from the southeast for a job. Having some regrets...
Well I use to live in North Dakota and have experienced -30+ weather. Just stay inside and try and stay busy. It will only last a couple of days.
Take Care
Longest cold spell in history now gone past 7 weeks and soon past 8 weeks. Brutal, just got back and last Sunday it was 36 below with the windchill -51 (almost calm wind).

This in North Dakota? I wonder how thick the ice got this winter on Devils Lake?
Serious response---around 32 degrees since it has a water content that makes it soft.
adding substances to water is what changes its freezing/boiling point and allows for lots of otherwise impossible things to happen in nature. someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but water has a peculiar principal which I somehow remember from 9th grade biology/chemistry way back in the late 1960's --- its greatest density and volume happens around 4 degrees Celsius which is why large bodies of water "turn over" twice a year.

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.
At what temperature does manure freeze?
Why don't you go out when you know it's going to be cold enough and start poking patties until you know and let us know?

You sure about that? There are dietary things that can change the freezing point of water. You also need to go poke some patties and let us know!
