It's been Resolved .......... Thank you.

I am currently running an Apollo puck give away ...... could not decide whether I should open the box when I receive it to gather my invoice.
I assumed the winner may wish to send it in for 'First Strike' designated label; so it means ...... I should not open the box?
What should I do?

Open the box, take your invoice and award the coin. The winner will be delighted to get such a wonderful and thoughtful gift and should not be concerned with additional "value" that you may have taken away.
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
Take the invoice out and give the puck to me?
if you don't want to give the invoice away then open it. The winner is already getting a puck! Too bad if they don't like it.

OK ..... I should not worry too much. I'll do what I got to do on my end
and award the coin
I agree with @TomB . Take out the invoice.
I agree with the previous posters. Remove your invoice. The coin is an awesome gift and I can't imagine anyone complaining you opened the box.
Yep remove, if they do want to submit for 1st strike they have some time anyways .
I thought box should remain un-tampered
The have 30 days from when the 1st coin ships so tamper away!
First Strike cutoff date is February 25...
That's sounds like a good plan.
The prize is your generosity and 5 ounces of silver. No need to overcomplicate it with keeping the box sealed.
Grab that invoice! The coin is the gift. Peace Roy

Open box get your personal info out.
The puck is still eligible for first strike if the winner sends it to PCGS by deadline.

The coin should stand on it's own merits without a date associated with it.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
I say go ahead and open it. I was planning to open once it showed up in my mailbox anyway. I would never slab modern bullion , first strike or any strike. Thanks!
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.

Wooooha! Did someone just say it's officially "TACO™" Tuesday????
if privacy is a concern, remove the invoice. If not wait until you have a winner and and let the winner decide.

By all means remove invoice.
People sell sealed boxes all the time, I've sold plenty no one has knocked on my door. Just sayin. I don't think it matters but it's your party.
Open the box and get your invoice.... It is still eligible for the label if the winner so chooses. Personally, something like that would, in my case, remain in it's capsule and I would put it on display in my memento cabinet - with a copy of the entire thread (folded up of course). Then when I wanted a 'happy moment', I could pull it out and read some of the posts. Cheers, RickO
Indeed remove the invoice. It's an awesome gift regardless!

The big question is "has it shipped already?" If not, it may not matter about First Strike and you can remove the invoice. Assuming it won't ship by the FS deadline. So FS would be moot.
If it has shipped and is on it's way by any means other than Stupid Post then, as most have suggested, get the invoice out before the address goes on. (To mangle that advertising slogan a little)
@Kudbegud
They've notified of shipping 1/24 so perhaps it will be here end of this week?
Your's went out fast. (unlike so many) Yes, it should have gone Priority Mail so it should be here this week. "Should" used on purpose because the Post Office plays tricks sometimes. Like two shipments to me that took a detour to Guam before arriving on our fair island.
I agree with the others. Remove invoice.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

THANKS

You should just give it to me. I have no problem with an open box. Your gift, yet again, is completely awesome!
