59th Annual RRVCC Coin Show in Fargo ND

Weather called an end to the show earlier than anticipated today.
Show attendance was truly great. It reminded me of how packed the room was back when metals were running up in 2009-11. Some isles were jammed up with customers, club exhibits had strong turnout, and money was flowing. I talked to many dealers all expressed how well attended the show was and how the general theme, "we love coming here". You could find just about every major facet of collecting at this show; tokens, stamps, sports cards, currency, world coins, US coins and lots of bullion. The only area where I don't was widely available would be ancient coins.
Sadly with a mild blizzard moving in Sunday seemed a dud for most dealers and packed up early to beat the storm. A few decided to make the best of it and stay an extra night and take in all the customers who braved the weather. Being from Fargo, we stayed set up till 3 PM before heading home to family.
@foodude was in attendance set up just a few tables down from us. Most likely still on the road home as I type this.
On a side note I won "People's Choice Award" for for my World War II coinage/currency exhibit. I didn't know I had won before taking it down, otherwise I would have taken an image of it to share.

Yep, snow in January, accompanied by winds.....yep, North Dakota....yep.
Glad there was good attendance before the panic.

Thanks for the report and congratulations on your winning display. Why is the date backward for the service as U.S. Treasurer? Cheers, RickO
Glad we had it last weekend instead of this coming weekend. Right now it is around -26 out with windchill making it around -55 or so. Really, really excited to live here right now.
Winter in North Dakota is great, isn't it? I recall entire weeks well below zero in January. "40 below keeps the riff-raff away"
Fargo mayor earlier declared "emergency conditions", many city services are closed for tomorrow. Did get a call earlier that were closing the coin shop tomorrow as well.
Good thing is, Saturday will be 60 degrees warmer.....yet still below freezing.
