Here's a little song I wrote...
You might want to sing it note for note
Don't worry, be happy
In every life we have some trouble
But when you worry you make it double (Bobby McFerrin)

Enthusiastic collector of British pre-decimal and Canadian decimal circulation coins.
This is an original oil painting by Don Dixon. This is the only one he painted of Apollo mission at the time. It was used as a design for a collector plate of the 25th anniversary of Apollo. The footprint is a near match of the coin.
Sorry for the reflection of the lamp and my computer monitor. I put the painting in glass to protect it, but it looks best without the glass. Sort of like a coin in a slab, just not quite as fun as one in hand, but protected. It does have great detail if you click on it and the + that shows up.
PS. this post is for fun. I already have the pucks I ordered coming in the mail.
"Dawn is so shocking on the moon. One minute you're in the darkest night you can imagine. And in the next instant the sun lifts up and this glorious, pure light just... explodes across the surface. I felt like I met God every morning."
-- Cadet Dorian Collins, from the Star Trek Deep Space Nine episode "Valiant". Cadet Collins grew up on the moon.
"We see the light of those who find
A world has passed them by
Too late to save a dream that's growing cold
We realize that fate must hide its face
From those who try
To see the distant signs of unforetold
Oh... oh, take hold"
My furnace broke a week ago.
Had no hope of getting it repaired or replaced.
Friend contacted STEP they are going to replace my 30 year old furnace.
Thank the Lord there are friends and places like STEP to help.
While trying to keep warm everyday and night I think about homeless people
who do not even have shelter, and realize I am blessed to even have a house to live in.
I wish I could help the homeless people even if it's just giving them a blanket.
I only have a very small sample how cold they have to be.
If I were a wealthy person the homeless are the 1st I would help.
I thank the lord everyday for the blessings he gives to me and my family.
On thing that I read many years ago and has always stuck with me is 'Learn to say and do nice things.'. I try to when I can, whether it is helping someone load a heavy item at Costco or ??, it makes me feel better and hopefully contributes to the other parties faith in humanity that most people are good.

Been there, done that, and would do it again in a heartbeat! The early morning wakeup call is well worth it. Spectacular at the top!!!
