What do you think of the new slab wallpaper, "slabpaper"?

It's nice but I'm more about the coins than the frills and the window treatments.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

I agree the forum posting crowd may not be the target audience for this, but I do think it could be good for the gift giving crowd, which is an important part of the moderns market. It would be great to see this with a future Spiderman coin. I was just at a B&M that had a full stock of PCGS and NGC coins where I asked to see a $2k PCGS toned Frankie. The owner, who does auctioneering for major houses, told me she wished the US Mint made Spiderman coins because that's what the kids want these days.
Too busy and distracting
It's not for me. Special labels, and now special holders take away from the coin and make them look cheap. Just my opinion, of course, I am sure some people love them.
Good marketing strategy IMO. I can see collectors trying for each slab wallpaper. It sounds like a cool idea for a box of 20.

Pretty soon you won't even notice the coin anymore. Not for me, not that I'd ever consider buying slabbed modern bullion anyway.
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.
Bullion by any other is still........
It's o.k. Just not for me.
"Dumb & Dumber"
Obviously aimed at the TV sales market and the "artistic tastes" of those buyers.
PS: Why is there a USAF fighter on a West Point Mint label? The Army (note Cadet saluting) does not have that kind of aircraft. Ignorance? Stupidity? (Reminds me of my CCAC days when drawings would come to us that honored one service but had another service's missile on it.)
Yuck.
A clean PCGS Slab is a work of art. Adding Clip Art to the Slab is not ART, looks like a sale pitch, yuck.
People will buy them...not you or I, but there’s definitely a target audience for them. I wouldn’t pay a premium for them, but I wouldn’t pay a premium for rattlers or doilies either.
Edited to add **. I don’t think a slab like that would be appropriate for a $20 Saint because like others have said...the beauty of the coin should stand alone. However on a sterile looking American Silver Eagle, it adds a little life to it.

I'm not in favor of it !!!
I wonder what % of PCGS revenue comes from classic coins vs. modern coins. Do they break that out in their financials? That could give an indication of how important products like this are to the TPG business.
Not for me, in the least, but I'm thankful for those who will spend extra money to get it if that's what they want, as it keeps prices of other services from climbing faster. I like my slab labels plain.

One difference ATS has with their slabs is that they have full-slab gaskets so it's easy to change just the color. Things like the following seem super popular as gifts. Since PCGS has a different type of slab, they have the opportunity with the full-image Slab Wallpaper. I'm curious to see what other Slabpaper they'll come up with.
looks nice, but not for me.
How likely is it that the ASE will tone?
While I would not buy a coin for this packaging alone, I agree with @Zoins ...It would be good as a gift, particularly for non-collectors....adds to the significance. Cheers, RickO
always room for a new variety in this hobby

Meh.
I find it distracting.
I am curious if such inks from the paper will cause toning?
The ATS color gaskets, eventual toning? That colored insert is a more attractive option, albeit a novelty.
I prefer the standard clear look of traditional PCGS holders over any other design. I feel like I recently saw black paper inserts with pcgs coins and thought it attractive with proofs.
