JM. Low serial number value?

Hi guys ,

Any premiums for a low serial number, 000509 on a JM 2 ounce silver bar?
Thanks

Not in my opinion but that's a nice looking bar.

    A) The bad news. allengelhard's range of example serial numbers for this bar:

    000338
    003342
    004348
    005413
    005817

B ) The good news. allengelhard estimates fewer than 5,000 of this bar were produced, so it stands to reason they'd all have 00xxxx serial numbers at worst. Yours trumps that at 000xxx.

I'd pick yours over an 00xxxx bar. And I'd probably pay a bit of a premium for this odd sized bar. But not much. Maybe $10 over melt on a good day?

I have that same bar, plain back but my serial number is higher. Great bar!

To me, since I only have some art bars, serial numbers are not a consideration. However, I would likely pick up a two ounce bar for my stash....Cheers, RickO

the 2 oz. size would be the premium attraction for me
