Importance of Posting new purchases

GazesGazes Posts: 2,315 ✭✭✭✭✭

I wonder how many dealers think about posting new purchases as quickly as possible. Most collectors have a certain coin budget. My hunch is many collectors will save money for a purchase right after a major show like FUN. I would think that dealers who post their new purchases quickly have a major advantage. That being said, I don't see a big rush to post new purchases by most dealers.

The 8% ebay bucks right after the show this year might help some who post their inventory there.

I look at the new inventory sections after big shows so I agree.

I used to put my Bust purchases in layaway when I purchased from Dick Osburn. Easy monthly payments so I could buy a little better, loved it.🙂

I agree. I love seeing NEWPS soon after a show.
I would think many of the best new purchases are earmarked for a specific client.

Good idea. Already in practice with dealers who are smart and like major advantages.
I'd guess their sales would confirm. :)

Good sales strategy would dictate getting material displayed to the customer base as soon as feasible. Letting it sit in darkness will only send customers to other sites. Cheers, RickO

I have seen the few dealers whose inventory I monitor online do both. One coin I saw in an auction late last year (around October I think) finally appeared on their site last week. I knew who the buyer was from their bidding activity, as there aren't any collectors who would have bought what they did.
